Coco Fiber

Coconut coir has been seen as something useless, just a pile of waste that is left to rot or dry. In fact, coconut coir is one part of the coconut fruit that can be used for health, for plants, to be used as home decoration. Cocofiber has many benefits, including:

1. Growing Media

Cocofiber can be used as a planting medium because it has a neutral pH level and a light texture. There is a difference with other planting media which are acidic. Therefore, cocofiber makes plants grow well, especially for vegetable and flower plants. Cocofiber also functions as a medium for increasing drainage in plants and retaining soil moisture. Cocofiber contains nutrients so it can improve soil quality. Air absorption from coconut fiber is also good so that it can store air reserves for food.

2. Plant Fertilizer

Cocofiber contains the chemicals cellulose, lignin, pyroligeous acid, gas, charcoal, tar, tannin, potassium, and potassium. Cocofiber which is used as fertilizer is able to store as much as 60% more water than other fertilizers. Plant fertilizer from cocofiber is more environmentally friendly, safe and has minimal pollution. Known as a good substrate for plants.

Cocofiber is used as a substitute for foam and is more environmentally friendly. Cocofiber has good flexibility and is durable. This of course helps to overcome the accumulation of waste or minimize waste burning, and the level of pollution.

Making cocofiber goes through several stages including:

1. Decomposition

After the coconut husk is peeled, it will then be put into the decomposing machine. This machine will be broken down into fibers.

2. Drying

The coconut coir fibers will be dried in the hot sun for 2-3 hours every day. The drying process aims to maximize the drying of the separated coconut coir fibers and reduce the water content.

3. Filtration

At this stage, the dried coconut fiber will be filtered to obtain pure cocofiber. The filtration stage uses a machine that can accommodate more than 200 kg of cocofiber and several hours.

4. Packing

Cocofiber packing aims to look neat, aesthetic, and of course quality.

5. Packaging

After the cocofiber is pressed, the next step is to pack it in bales using rope. The goal is to get a bale measuring 42 x 52 x 70 cm and weighing more than 70 kg.
